daniel smith, US marines officer, REannounced NOT GUILTY by the court of appeals.
do you recall those times when all the local primetime news were filled to the rim with accounts, stories, testimonies, videos, ad infinitum of "nicole" and her "rape".
hey, those quotation marks dont mean that i dont believe nicole's first testimony. the quotation marks just mean that i am only quoting after the people involved in the incident and, therefore, could not be held accountable for any misunderstanding.
well, it's not as if i was interested in her case anyway.
maybe she was raped. after all, who in her right mind would try to raise hell [or file a messy lawsuit] by claiming to be a rape victim of some US marines officer?
and again, maybe not.
as i said earlier [or typed, for that matter] i wasnt interested in the case. it wasn't a murder mystery [unlike ted failon's wife's case]
but then, all of a sudden, nicole "the-rape-victim-who's-supposed-to-be-fixing-her-broken-mangled-life" revised her written and signed testimony.
she had claimed that daniel smith raped her.
now she's claiming that it might not be quite so true. she's saying now that she could have been attracted to the young US officer and it could have been that she followed him willingly.
she had STRONGLY TESTIFIED that daniel smith raped her.
now, she's backing out of the hell that she, herself, had raised.
now, the primetime news are filled with reports saying that it was all part of a good "romance" story between the local towngirl and the US marines officer.
okay.
let me say something.

yeah. let me repeat that.
CRAP.
all's crap.
i'm not judging what really happened. raped or not, i dont really care. as i said, the case doesnt interest me. what caused me to raise a brow was the fact that the victim backed out!
she backed out.
she revised her written and signed testimony. TOTAL EFFIN' OVERHAUL, i might add.
how could she? she raised enough hell to satisfy the little demons around the planet and then, all of a sudden, she's backing out...
how much did they pay her?
besides, as far as my limited knowledge on law can tell, one cannot present new evidences in the court of appeals.
now, how come nicole was able to revise her already SIGNED testimony?
raped or not, you can't just revoke your own testimonies.
you're contradicting yourself by testifying that someone forced you to do something that you didnt want to... and then after that, stating that you did it willingly.
what the hell.
you cant just order someone to be killed and then a couple of days later state that you were just having some severe mood swings.
"...oh, is he dead already? sorry about that. i didnt really mean for you to kill him. it was that time of the month, you know. mood swings and such...'
wth.
as far as im concerned, i cant do anything about this. not that i want to.
i would not want that nicole to revise her testimony for the second time and retestify that daniel smith really raped her. i would be wanting her head by that time.
let's leave her alone now, shall we.
it might be her "time of the month" again.
