point of order

oooookay.
it was quite a day.
first, let's start off with what happened with our plan to take english, elective, and filipino periodical exams today.
we were told that we cannot choose the exams that we are going to take. we must either take the exams that was taken on the first day OR take the exams that was taken today...
uh-oh.
sounds bad, right?
i mean, we didnt even study anything!!!
we were disconcerted. of course, we chose to take the exams scheduled for the first day...
the thing that upset us the most was that it was mr zape's instruction that we take the periodical exams on sembreak.
it was the OIC's instruction.
the precedence is high.
but, the problem was that he wasnt at school when we were told that we had to take the exams today!
craaaaap.
we were like "oh hell. what would happen to us now?"
then while we were answering the exam for english, mam frias came (what a luck) and told us that mr zape had just arrived!!!
and that he reiterated his former instruction that we can take the exams on sembreak!!!
it was a lucky break.
angelo was even commenting that paolo would have to be a believer from then on...
LOL.
anyway, just after i have passed my answer sheet to mam frias, mam oben came... standing right there in front of the journ room... motioning for me to come over...
then she gave me the news that i would be part of the parliamentary team who will compete for the nationals.
NATIONALS.
i was like "oh. uh-huh. that was quite... sudden."
and it was sudden.
someone backed out, that's why.
well, i was missing parliamentary proceedings since it has been three years since i last joined it.
basically, i was excited to join again.
parliamentary procedure is fun. it's just wit, good communication skills, and knowledge of parliamentary rules.
and so mam oben and i went off to fort bonifacio high school for the training.
it was fun. the training was fun.
well, it has been 3 years since i last participated in a parliamentary proceeding so i had to refresh my mind about the rules and technicalities,...
my companions were good.
the students from manila science were brilliant.
mico and oliver (manila science) kept on engaging into debates and such... well, mico was given the role of an "observer" meaning that he had to destroy the proceedings... oliver, on the other hand, was our team's presiding officer, meaning that he had to keep the team in order...
they had to have a verbal clash.
it was fun to watch.
and the best thing was that... we are going to baguio! haha... all of us. the thirteen of us. what a lucky number.
anyway, the bad thing is that the NCR parliamentary team's trainings are scheduled T TH S... meaning that i would have to miss heaps of academic-related works AGAIN...
the mainstream academic activities are piling up... higher and higher...
this is stress.
and i mean it.
journalism, parliamentary procedure, academics...
uh-huh.
hopefully, i would still be able to sleep. not exaggerating anything right here.
i wont have any sembreaks though. craaaaapppyyy...
well, this is life.

anyway, setting aside what happened today, im going to comment on something.
the thing was that when i went back to school this afternoon with mico and mam oben, i saw my yellow pad... there was something scribbled on it, instructing me to turn to the next page...
and so i did.
a friend left me a message telling me about someone else's words which are meant as an insult to me.
not gonna name names... lol.
a comment that crude... that immature... well, you just laugh it off.
cruel words do not taint the receiver.
it ruins the giver.

point of order... sustained.
